Some words from the label about Incoming Voices

« There is nothing we appreciate more besides good music than contributing to a greater cause.

Hi Profile and Phoenix Groove Records have gathered together some of the finest artists from their roster to create one of the most important VA’s to date.

Presenting a combination of our full potential and energy, this package will have a huge impact for two very significant reasons. The first is simple; it will offer nothing less than high-resolution audio cuts to entertain, filled with blissful moments and joy. Secondly, we felt that there is no better way to embrace this New Year then to donate all of the royalties gained from this particular release to Ag.Paraskevi’s Special School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Since we are all still basically children at heart, we wanted to portray the selfless and carefree attitude of children through our music. This is an idea that we have had since day one, and now that the Phoenix is in full flight, we can think of no better time to act upon it.

You can expect the same dynamic and alluring quality of our past material blended with fresh techniques and ideas. We hope that through our music it will be clear that we take the profound example of this Special School very seriously.

Like they say, school is an oasis of knowledge and experience, and we think and feel the same about Phoenix. Therefore, we simply couldn’t resist combining these two wonderful ideas. After all, to embrace life under difficult circumstances is the first step to true living.

And that is what it’s all about »

Review?

It will probably come soon… :-)

SENSOGRAM-Parallel Minds

fév 13, 2012 by     No Comments    Posted under: News, Phoenix Groove, Release, SENSOGRAM

The new release from our partner Phoenix Groove Records is now out.

It’s time to discover Sensogram and their album Parallel Minds.

Who is Sensogram?

Sensogram is the progressive trance duo Alex Sense and Simon Revill.

They’re based in U.K and Greece.

They appeared in 2011 on the compilation Encoder Operations with their track « Deep Connection ».

Phoenix Groove Records released them on the compilations Musica Humana (2010), Libido Vol.1 (2011) and Stigma (2011).

Now, it’s time to introduce their debut album :-)

Tracklist:

1-Intro

2-Flashing Lights

3-Vivid Vision

4-The Process Starts

5-Everlasting

6-Parallel Minds

7-Not A Dream

8-Imagination

9-Changes

10-The Healer

Feelings:

After the nice Intro, the track Flashing Lights starts the album.

Vivid Vision is an invitation for your minds. I can feel that we’ll have the atmospheric journey, the mental introspection that some of us (all of us?) are looking for… Without a doubt, the duo shows their skills on computing and producing electronic music.

So the Process Starts.. pumping bassline, the groove is here, invading your cells and your brain. Your eyes are wide-open to a new universe. Your body is jumping and you’re mentally flying. Oh! This is damn’ good!

Everlasting.. that’s exactly what I was thinking about! Psytrance is my life. Sharing moments of hapiness all together. The symbiosis between trance artists and trance people. Let’S Dance. Crystal is everywhere.

Parallel Minds is the title of the album. Now, we know who you are guys!

Not A Dream has this groovy bassline melted with uplifting sounds effects and nice vocals.

Imagination takes your thoughts outside of your body.. still dancing or still tripping. Was Sensogram also influenced by some techno sounds? The cross-over between progressive trance and techno is always tight as we hear in this track.

We’re about to start the descent with Changes, another energik track, before we relax with the Healer, their downtempo side effect.

Congratulations to Alex and Simon for this excellent album. See you on the dancefloors.

 Tour and booking:

Sensogram will have a busy schedule in the next months. I can feel it in the air… :-)

Releasing an album, especially with this pure cristal sound, is probably the beginning of a worldwide tour. We want to show them on stage now.

The greek label Phoenix Groove Records has released the EP Disturbed by Funk Truck.

Tracklist:

1-Funk Truck feat.Synthetic Pulse-Disturbed

2-Funk Truck-Build Up

Release date:

Out in January 2012.

More:

« Phoenix Groove up until now always tried to add this extra step…

…upon classic trance elements, and Funk Truck EP is here to prove it.

With many imprints around the globe it was a matter of time until we close the deal with these guys.

We call it synth pop futuristic trance storming from the first glimpse in both tracks, giving a full throttle energy almost ready to burst.

Acid bass lines and uplifting drums are mixed and matched perfectly giving that extra push on these gems. Basically this is an installation with a punk attitude, with no further needless arrangements, just 101 percent energy for body moving. This one will defo tickle your spine effortless with its surprising lushness and warmth. »

SENSOGRAM-Parallel Minds

déc 17, 2011 by     No Comments    Posted under: Phoenix Groove

After hitting the scene in 2010…… the long-awaited debut album from the progressive trance duo Sensogram (DJ Alex Sense and Simon Revill) is finally here!

1-Intro

2-Flashing Lights

3-Vivid Vision

4-The process starts

5-Everlasting

6-Parallel Minds

7-Not a dream

8-Imagination

9-Changes

10-The healer

Following their distinguished released stigma on a variety of labels and gaining support from many leading DJs like Paul Oakenfold, their new trademark is a result of many months of hard work at the studio.

« Parallel Minds » is an epic journey from start to finish, covering a wide range of progressive trance music.

Being very disciplined, Sensogram are careful with their audio arrangements and strive for the highest quality in music production possible. Expect face-melting bass, atmospheric pads and evolving textures, radiating with emotions and chaos. From the driving progressive mood of the title track ‘Parallel Minds’, to the deep hypnotic groove of ‘The Process Starts’, following on to the tribal and cocky synth’s of ‘Not A Dream’, this is a journey that will not be forgotten. From the swinging, techno-influenced ‘Imagination’ to the trance inducing ‘Everlasting’, this album is fresh, innovative and full of slick production techniques and sound design.

A new classy offer from Sensogram nominally four-to-the-floor action. Full energetic but also incredibly easy on the ears the duo is at the best shape and peak, delivering a well-crafted masterpiece. Spot on!

Coming soon on Phoenix Groove Records

AVIRON-Bradyrythmia

nov 30, 2011 by     No Comments    Posted under: Phoenix Groove

It’s time for Aviron’s personal imprint on Phoenix Groove Records schedule and we can’t be more happier.

Tracklist :

1- AVIRON-Bradyrythmia

2-AVIRON and ENIAK-Darkness

Style :

Progressive trance

Release :

30 nov 2011

This 2 track stormer is simply ready to burst out from the speakers with its magnificent energy that flows through this work.

A shaker with crystal clear chained mellows that covers the bassline with such a style that you almost don’t notice. Moves forward a lot more cautiously into the next gen of trance, Aviron offer with his unique touch his point of view around beats. His gently throbbing, thick-throated leads embrace the old stylish air that eventually reveal the true layers of his trancy techniques.

Quintessentially Aviron and Eniak win the spot with pretty straightforward shot of looping. Gracefully rolling all the classy elements into a dynamic joint, keeping the bar high.
