Interesting album that I’ve discovered lately.
Franck sent me a mail about TripTone and of course I’ve listened.
More vocals than I expected on this album, but the same emotion that I have when I listen to his music.
Just like his new set, Franck brings together the energy of the instruments, of the electronic and human voices.
It’s good and I wanted to share this project with you.

Who is CYMOPHANE?
Cymophane is a collaboration between Kevin « Pupilar » Ingham and Ian « SDZH » Ainslie.
Pupilar is best known for his ten-ton heavy bass-lines and dub-beats encased within a soundscape of gritty drones and evocative ambience. Having worked with luminaries of the post-rock and experimental UK music scene such as Gnod and Ekca Liena, this
collaboration with UK electronica maestro SDZH showcases both artists’ ability to challenge and express themselves outside of their familiar individual styles.
After several years of hard work their début album has been intimately crafted to form an intricate yet astonishing epic.
“Cymophane” presents cinematic sound design married with dub, techno, breaks and bass which bridges the past, present and future of electronic music, arcing effortlessly between textured calm, gushing emotion and pounding intensity.
Throughout the creation of this project, Cymophane have unfalteringly endorsed: 80s Sci-Fi Cinema, John Carpenter, Vangelis, Philip K. Dick, Robert Anton Wilson, FSOL, Biosphere, Muslimgauze, Coil, Moritz von Oswald, David Reeves, Martin Haidinger and Satan.

I’ve really enjoyed this album of Cymophane.
There is a delay between the music submission and the publishing, isn’t it Kevin?
It gave me more time to listen to the tracks and their music match perfectly the ambient stream of Psychedelik.com.

Consciousness Federation on the ambient stream
Recently, they sent us their tracks to share them with the listeners of the chill-out stream.
DJ Yuman has selected and added some of them to the playlist.
Who is Consciousness Federation?
The electronic based duo Consciousness Federation are Kostas Akparidis and Kostas Loukovikas.
They first met in seminars of sound technology and soon after they started to compose and produce electronic down tempo music.
The music features ambient, atmospheric melodies grafted with a ubiquitous space/surreal feeling.
Their sound is rich in elements deeply rooted in the 70’s psychedelic and progressive rock music, beautifully merged in today’s aesthetics and standards.
Their releases
In 2010, their 1st EP was Plasma on Synergetic Records, an Austrian ambient label.
It was followed the same year by their 2nd EP was Terrestrial Intelligence on Uxmal Records, a Mexican music label.
In 2011, they were back on Uxmal Records with their EP called Extrospection.
They will release again on April 3rd, 2012 on Uxmal Records.
This upcoming EP will be Nocturnal.
You will discover their new downbeat atmosphairic tracks « Nocturnal » and « The greatest story ever told”.
Live Performance:
The live performance of Consciousness Federation varies from time to time, accompanied by analog instruments, vocals and video projections giving a unique audio and visual guide of mind-expanding journeys to distant spaces.
During this period, they’ve played in events and festivals such as Aurora Festival, Utopian Technologies (Void Network Festivals), Small Music Theatre (Athens), F.E.X (Culture House of Xanthi) and in live radio broadcasts.
Currently in collaboration with the Astronomy club of East Macedonia, they performed along with planet observations by long rage telescopes.

This compilation was released last year in december 2010.
It’s always a magical time when you start a label and release the very first compilation.
You’ll find a nice tracklist of 10 artists known for the quality of their works.
It’s an enjoyable journey for this windy and rainy afternoon here in the hometown of Brest (Brittany-France).
